1. Disassemble the car parts
Car parts are carefully removed for a smooth and invisible film installation, even around corners and edges.
2. Thorough exterior cleaning
The car is thoroughly washed and degreased to remove dirt, grease, and other contaminants that could affect adhesion.
3. Paint correction and polishing
Minor paint defects such as swirls, scratches, or dull spots are removed for a perfectly smooth surface and an optimal base.
4. Second cleaning
After polishing, the car is cleaned again to completely remove dust and polish residue.
5. Application of the PPF

PPF is also known as stone chip film and is specially designed to be nearly invisible, preserving the car's original color and shine.
2. What does PPF do?
PPF is a transparent film that protects car paint. The material has many properties:

If PPF becomes damaged by stone chips or scratches, it's always possible to replace the film. However, this isn't necessary, as only the stone chips will be visible, while the car's paintwork remains protected.
4. Does PPF fade?
XPEL's PPF is designed to remain transparent, even under UV exposure. The film stays clear, self-healing in heat, and is easy to maintain. 5. Does PPF require maintenance?

6. What's the difference between PPF and wrap film?
Wrap film is used to visually alter cars, such as color, texture, or finish. PPF is exclusively intended to protect the original paint from damage such as stone chips, scratches, insect acid, and UV rays.
Wrap film isn't suitable for protection because it's much thinner, being 70–100 microns (0.07–0.10 mm), while PPF is 150–200 microns (0.15–0.20 mm) thick. Stone chips or scratched objects will penetrate the wrap film, but not the PPF.
7. What's the difference between PPF and a coating?
PPF provides durable protection against damage and scratches with film, while a coating provides chemical protection. The key difference is the physical barrier that PPF provides, which coating doesn’t.
Coatings are designed to protect cars against dirt, UV radiation, chemicals, and discoloration. When applied, the coating penetrates the pores of the paint. This creates a water- and dirt-repellent effect (hydrophobic effect) and enhances the gloss and depth of the paint. PPF also has this effect, but also protects car paint against stone chips, scratches, swirl marks, and parking damage.
Another difference is the wear of the coating. PPF doesn't wear out, but the coating loses its thickness with use of the car.
